Most tools stop at packaging. We rate everyday brands on both sides of “good” — environmental impact and labor ethics, from supply-chain human rights to fair wages — so a product that fits your values fits all of them.

Every rating comes from the same three steps.

1. 1Verified certificationsWe start with certifications we can check against a public registry — B Corp, USDA Organic, EPA Safer Choice and others.
2. 2The public recordThen we read what’s publicly known about each brand’s practices, controversies, and commitments.
3. 3An honest labelWhen there’s enough to judge, you get a clearly-marked “Likely” rating. When there isn’t, it says Rating pending.

We check these against public registries rather than taking a brand’s word for it.
